Newmarket – Carl “Chan” Robbins, 87, of Moody Point Drive, died November 9, 2012 in Newmarket.
Born August 31, 1925 in Boston, MA, he was the son of Carl and Lottie (Code) Robbins.
He served in the US Air Force during World War II.
Carl ran a computer component’s company for many years, from which he retired young and spent the next 30 years traveling with his first wife, Edythe (Greene) Guernsey, whom he met at Boston University.
He was predeceased by his son, David Chandler Robbins who died in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Wood) Robbins of Newmarket; 2 sons, Jeffrey C. Robbins of Norfolk, MA and Kendrick Robbins of Newmarket; a daughter, Betsy Fitzgerald of Sanbornton, NH; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Brian Robbins.
Chan was a gentle, wise, and generous man who will be missed by friends and family alike.
