Newmarket- Ethel F. Magoon, 89, formerly of Gordon Avenue, died November 25, 2012 at Oceanside Nursing Home, Hampton, where she had resided for several years.

Born February 4, 1923 in Parkman, Maine, the daughter of John and Lydia (Philbrick) Hight, she had resided in Newmarket for fifty years.

Ethel worked in various shoe factories in the local area. She was a member of the Newmarket Community Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Oliver “Clayton” Magoon who died in 2001.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Mello of Florida; 1 granddaughter, 4 great grandsons; many nieces & nephews.

Burial will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket.
