Newmarket - Beverly Cyr, 83, formerly of Cedar Street, died December 4, 2012 at Oceanside Nursing Home in Hampton.

Born July 23, 1929 in Somerville, Maine, she was the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Hansin) Light, and had lived in Newmarket for fifty years.

Beverly was employed at Rockingham Shoe for 14 years, and had worked at Newmarket Elementary and High School Cafeteria.

She was predeceased by her husband Ronaldo Cyr who died in 1987.

Beverly is survived by two daughters, Jeannine Cyr of Alexandria, VA, and Deborah Penttila of Durham; two sisters, Phyllis Turner of Fremont, and Virginia Nare of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visiting hour will be held at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket, on Saturday, Dec. 8th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Newmarket.

Burial on Friday, Dec. 14th at Noon in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, ME.
