Durham – Quest Brooks Jaeger, 17, died December 30, 2012.
Born November 14, 1995 in Winchester, MA, he was the son of Eric Jaeger and Stacey Brooks. He was raised in Madbury, New Hampshire and was a Junior at Oyster River High School, Durham.
His grandparents were Wayne and Brenda Brooks (Wayne died in 2004) and Ole & Sandra Jaeger. He was the proud and oft tortured older brother of Zephyr Brooks Jaeger, Zenith Brooks Jaeger, and Phoenix Ezra Brooks Jaeger.
Quest had a positive impact on so many lives and lived the phrase “practice random acts of kindness”. His friends and family ask that you honor him by paying it forward. He will always be remembered for his love of hiking and the outdoors, his writing, creativity and imagination, and especially his humanity. As so many have said “he was the best of us.”
A Celebration of Quest will be held today (Thursday, Jan. 3rd) at 6:30pm at Moharimet Elementary School in Madbury. Donations in his memory may be made to the Appalachian Mountain Club.
