Newmarket – Geraldine “Gerry” A. Duffy, 70, of Packers Falls Road, passed away while surrounded by her family on January 13, 2013, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH.
Born November 5, 1942 in Salem, MA, she was the daughter of Emile and Louise (Romsavich) Gagne. Being the daughter of a military man, she lived in a variety of locations before settling in Peabody, MA for the remainder of her childhood. She then resided in Newmarket, NH as of 1977.
Gerry was an accountant with United Technologies at the McAllen Company in Newmarket, NH.
Though she loved to cook, camp, and watch her birds in the yard, her most beloved pastime was enjoying the company of her adoring family.
She was a 33 year member of the Robert G. Durgin American Legion Auxiliary Unit #67, and a member of the F.O.E. Ladies Group.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Stephen E. Duffy Sr. of Newmarket, 2 children, Stephen J. Trites of Epping and Susan R. Fournier with her husband James of Exeter, one granddaughter, Ashleigh V. Fournier of Exeter, and a number of cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday Jan. 16th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket, NH. Legion Auxiliary Services will be held at 7 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17th at 11 a.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 3rd at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket.
